Carnegie’s philanthropy to public and academic libraries in North Carolina was immeasurably important to the state, enriching the educational life of communities and educational institutions. This article provides biographical details from Andrew Carnegie's life related to his philanthropic efforts directed to libraries, and provides overviews of various Carnegie public and academic libraries in the state of North Carolina.Downloads
